Reading this article, I am struck by the similarities between Yoda for the Republic and Churchill for the UK. Each is seen as a savior but actually oversaw its complete destruction and loss of nearly all its territories. It takes a lot of research to break through the conditioning when our childhood saviors are seen in an objective light. At least with Churchill he fought too hard at times and saw enemies everywhere, while Yoda is the opposite in not fighting hard enough and not seeing the dangers or trusting his gut. Similar scenario of Churchill botching Tripoli early on but getting promoted just as Yoda still is given oversight despite misjudging former friends and his apprentice. Great post!
